Chang Tso Lin, who began to reform his army at Luan River, has received an ultimatum from Wu Pei Fu, stating that he would begin to attacic cn Sunday unless Chang Tso Lin evacuated the Chili province. Further fighting, however, was avoided by British mining and other foreign interests intervening. Wu Pei Fu thereupon promised to merely maintain a force in Chili until the province was cleared. —Aus.-N-Z. Cable Assn.
