INCREASED EXPENDITURE. DECREASED REVENUE. The railwav working account for the financial year ended March 31 last has been issued. It shows that the revenue for the year amounted to £6,643,500, and the expenditure to £6237,726. The revenue, as compared with the preceding year, fell by £284.941, and the expenditure increased by £601,126. The expenditure represented 93.80 per cent, of the revenue, as against 81.59 per cent, in the 1920-21 financial year.
