Mr. Ronald Mecintyre, speaking iit Belfast, said Australia did not want immigrants to swell the industrial populations of the cities. The Bill now before Parliament was the first statesmanlike attempt to deal with the emigration problem. The question of a white Australia had to be settled within the next thirty years; they either had to make full use of the country’or let others do it. Those others would be the colored racys by which Australia was surrounded.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable
