WAR IN CHINA.

PEKIN CAMPAIGN ENDED. By Telegraph.—Press Pekin, May 8. With the exception of rounding up small groups of scattered Fengtein forces, the military operations in the Pekin region ha,ve ended. Two thousand Fengtieners are reported to be approaching Tungchow, unaware of Chan Tso Lin's defeat.

Tientsin reports that Wu Pei Fu arrived there with 2000 troops. The train to Pekin returned ind reported that the Fengtien cavalry had cut the rails and telegraph lines to Ya-ngtsun, but they had since fled or been captured. Groups were wandering over the country looting.

Considerable fighting occurred at Chungliangchen, resulting in the capture of a brigade of Fengtieners.

A NEW OUTBREAK. Pekin, May 8. The Allied military commanders ordered Wu Pei Fu to leave Tientsin, as bis presence violates the 1901 procto' col. Wu refused. Hankow reports that Chaoti, military governor of the Honan Province has started hostilities against Wu. The Pekin-Hankow railway has been cut. The Japanese Foreign Office has instructed the Consulates in China that they must not assist the belligerents to enter Japanese territory. THE FLIGHT OF CHANG. . Received May 9, 10.10 p.m. Pekin, May 9. Chang Tso Lin has gone to Changli, a province of Chili. He ordered his troops to withdraw behind the Great Wall.
