TERRORISM IN SOUTH, MURDERS AND ROBBERY. REFUGEES IN ENGLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 9, 8.15 p.m. London, May 8. A meeting of members of the House of Commons received a deputation of 60 men and women representing refugees from Southern Ireland, who were forced to leave their homes. They detailed their experiences. The meeting passed the following resolution: “As the stories of refugees showed that many murders are being committed, and a wholesale system of robbery and expropriation is being enforced by the terrorism which prevails in many parts of Southern Ireland, this meeting urges the Government to pay compensation to sufferers.”—Aus.-N.Z. AN ADJUSTMENT COMMISSION. BATTLE WITH REPUBLICANS. London. May 8 Lord Shaw, of Dunfermline, has been appointed the chairman of a commis sion for adjudicating private claims for property against the Irish Free State Republicans attacked the houses of three loyalists at Castle Caulfield and a vigorous fight ensued. One on each side was killed.
