P. AND T.’S ALLIANCE.
AN IMPORTANT MEETING. i NO STATEMENT MADE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A general conference of representatives of district sections of the Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association took place to-day to consider the situation created by the refusal of the Government to permit the association to affiliate with the Alliance of Labor. The whole of the circumstances which have led to the present position have been described from time to time. There was a full attendance of delegates and the business was of an entirely private nature. At the conclusion of to-day’e proceedings the secretary (Mr. H. E. Combe) stated that there was nothing to announce to the Press.
