ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MARRIED MAN SHOT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. John Henry Dean, aged 33, was shot on the Whangamarino River, near Huntly, through the accidental discharge of a gun while duck-shooting. He was placing decoys in position, when he was shot through the heart. Death was instantaneous. He was married, with six children, and was a resident of Mercer. WOMAN SHOOTS HERSELF. Nelson, May 3. Ellen Jones, aged 39, residing with her husband near Riwaka, shot herself with a Winchester rifle. She formerly lived at Reefton and leaves four children, aged from 17 to four.
