The director-general of the Federal Public Health Department, in a warni lug against relaxation in the campaign against nits, states that so far public efforts have kept the plague from sweeping the continent, but any slackening might undo all that has been done, although the epidemic is now approaching its close. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THREE NEW CASES. Received May 2, 10.30 p.m. Sydney, May 2. The diagnosis of three plague suspects showed that they are suffering from plague. Two are from Botany and one from Redfern, all from the new plague-infected areas. There have now been twenty-seven cases and seven deaths. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
