NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. LADIES' MATCH. A medal match for a silver button was played by the ladies of the New Plymouth Club yesterday afternoon, and the winning card was returned by Mrs. C. H. Weston. The best scores arc:— Mrs. C. H. Weston 105—33—72 Miss Home 117—36—81 Miss Foote 115—32—83 Mrs. Nicholson 102—18—84 Miss Stanford 103—18—85 For next Tuesday’s match players are to choose their partners. A special meeting of members of the New Plymouth Golf Club is called for Monday evening next to consider the question of improvement to the fairway, finance, and any other quarterly business that may be brought forward. As these are matters affecting all members it is hoped that there will be a large attendance. The second annual ladies’ Taranaki provincial championship tournament will be teld on Wednesday and Thursday, xnr.y 24 and 25. In addition Jo the ladies’ provincial championship, there will be a medal handicap in connection with the qualifying round, a bogle handicap, a four-ball bogie handicap, and a flag match handicap for “A" and “B” grade players. There will, too, be continuous putting each day. Prograunmes are being issued.
