KOTES FROM THE COURSE. (By a Correspondent.) A large number of horses are galloping on the Hawera course. Trotters, gallopers, hurdlers, -steeplechasers and young horses being educated are the order of each morning’s essays. The following worked yesterday morning Cold Steel, Erie, and Egmont Park went a fast six furlongs, finishing- in that order. Volo, Simonides, and Kareao went . once round over the hurdles, Kareao in front, with Simonides finishing strongly.
