THE MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Thursday and. Friday, April 27 and -o. Present: Messrs. H. J- Low? (chairman). S. Blake, N. R. Cleland, and JW. H. Martin. An apology for nonattendance was received from Mr. Ryan, who was granted leave of absence. The following application for land was approved: — D. N. Sutton, section 34, block 5, Cape. The application of John Gray for section 10, block 4, Ohura, was adjourned. The following transfers were approved: — Section 1, block 4, Hawera.—VVm. Winks to T. Tarrant. Part section 21, block 8, Kaupokonui—Public Trustee to- M. P. Christensen. Subdivisions 12, 30, 31, Ngatitara block —Christina Law to H. V. Field. Part section 30, Ngatitara block —H. V. Field to the Oaonui Irrigation Board. Sections 8 and 41, Huia Village F. F. Hoskin to E. Haine. Section 9, block 11, Ohura—H. Goodwin to W. Goodwin. Lot 1, section 2, Ohawe Town Belt — P. T. Donnelly to M. Barraclough. Part section 32, Tarurutangi district —D. B. Greenway to H. E. Greenway. Part sections 1 and 2, block 1, Pouatu—F. Effer to J. C. M. "Whittaker. Section 9, block 10, Mahoe —J. Aim to L. E. Medcalf. The following transfers were adjourned for further consideration:— Section 20, block 2, Pouatu—F. Effer to J. C. M. WTiittaker. Section 3, block 8, Upper Waitara — E. J. and A. Wilton to A. Wilton. Part lot 2, section 3, block 3, Aria— F. W. C. Bredenbeck to Auckland Education Board. The valuer’s report on section 6, block 12, Hawera (education reserve) was received. The hypothecation of certain “thirds” ’by the Whangamomona County was approved. It was resolved to have a valuation made of education reserve sections 23-54, 2355, 2356, town of New Plymouth. Resolved to ofl'er sections 40, 41, 42 and 43, block 5, Cape, at open ballot for prices fixed. Forty-seven applications under the Discharged Soldiers’ Acts were considered, and of these seven stock applications were recommended two adjourned and two refused; seven applications to transfer were recommended, and one application to subdivide was provisionally approved. The next meeting of the board will be held on tae 17th inst., a week earlier than usual.
