Reece failed to appear at the stipulated hour. The referee disqualified him and award* ed the match to Falkiner. Later, Reece arrived and explained that the delay, was due to a taxicab accident. Falk-, iner then offered to resume play, which’ proceeded. The scores at the interval were: Falkiner 6000, Reece 5218. McCONACHY v. TOTHILL. Received April 22, 5.5 pjn. London, April 2t.
