WEDDINGS.
HART—BRADY. A wedding of more than usual interest attracted a large attendance at St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, on April 6, when Leah Gwendoline, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brady, of New Plymouth (and late of Wellington), was married to George Joseph, second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hart, of New Plymouth. The service was conducted by the Rev. F. G. Harvie, whilst Mr. Renaud officiated at the organ. The bride wore a dress of white satin charmeuse with an overdress of handsomely worked silver lace, j The bridesmaids were Miss Leah Haughton and Miss Eileen Brady, nieces of the bride. Miss Gwyneth Thompson and Balfour Saunders were flower girl and page boy. Mr. W.. Johnson was best man and Mr. Haughton groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the Bungalow, Kawaroa Park, and later the newly married pair left for a motor tour. The bride’s travelling dress was of champagne velour cloth with silk braid. Her hat was a toque of kingfisher blue. ALLISON—PATTERSON. A quiet and pretty wedding was solemnised at Manaia on April 4, when Hazel, fourth daughter of Mr. J. J. Patterson, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Dr. Peter Errol Allison, of Waitara. The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in ivory charmeuse, and wore the usual veil and orange blossom. She was attended by Miss Rose Patterson as bridesmaid, and Mr. Churchill Tendall acted as best man. The Revs. Gray and Odell performed the ceremony. After the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, and afterwards the happy couple left for Auckland, where the honeymoon is being spent.
