DAIRY PRODUCE AND MEAT. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The High Commissioner cables under date April 13:— Butter market quiet, prices receded. New Zealand sold down to 1765, but recovered somewhat at close. Detailed quotations give the price as 178 s to x lB2s per cwt.; exceptional 184 s; unsalted 180 s. The cheese market opened quiet and closed firmer. New Zealand, colored 90s, 925; white, 94s to 102 s. Meat. —Lamb is in plentiful supply. Best light-weight IP/gd per lb., heavyweight 10%d to lid; ordinary North Island lid, second-class 10%d to lid; mutton, light-weight 8d to BJd, medium to heavy-weight 6d to 7£d; ewes, light-weight 6 l / 2 d, medium s|d, heavy st%d; new season’s beef, highest, hinds 4 l-Bd, fores 3d.
