THE PRINCE AT PLAY

NOVEL SPORT IN JAPAN, A DUCK HUNT. /' By Telegraph.—Press Assn.- —Copyright. Received April 18, 9.15 p.m. Tokio, April 17. The Prince of Wales and a distinguished party participated in a duck hunt in the grounds of the Hama Palace. This characteristic Japanese sport consists of luring ducks into a narrow canal by means of decoys, the hunters capturing them from places concealed with immense butterfly nets. Trained falcons are employed to strike down ducks escaping from the nets. The Prince and other huntsmen were bespattered with mud before the hunt ended. The Prince attended a number of social functions.—Reuter Service.
