DANNEVIRKE DEMONSTRATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association Dannevirke, Last Night. The big annual demonstration under the auspices of the United Districts Fire Brigades’ Association concluded today in fine weather. The attendance was very large. Fifty-five teams competed, representing 18 brigades. Results: — One Man Championship. —Hastings A, 47sec., 1; Hastings B. 52 l-556c., 2; Masterton. 53 2-ssec., 3. Three Men Event (modern). —Waipukurau, 26 2-ssec., 1; Hastings A, t>7 3-ssec., 2; Carterton, 31sec., 3. Five Men Coil. —Hastings, 32 4-ssec., 1 ■ Dannevirke, 34 2-ssec.. 2. Two Men Coupling.—Hastings A, 40 sec., 1; ’Dannevirke B, 41 l-ssec., 2; Pahiatua A, 40 2-ssee., 3. Hose, Reel and Ladder (five men).— Napier, 57sec., 1; Hastings, 58 l-ssec., 2; Masterton, 60 4-ssee., 3. Two Men Rescue. —Napier, 28 2-ssec., 1; Masterton B, 31sec., 2; Masterton A, 35 2-ssec., 3.
