EASTER TRAFFIC RETURNS. FIGURES FOR LAST WEEK. The traffic receipts on the New Plymouth trams yesterday were .€64 17s lid, which represents a slight decrease ( £1 19s 9d) compared with the previous Easter Monday, the falling off in passengers being 423. Figures for the week ending on Sunday night last also show a decline, the total of passengers being less by 1162 and a decrease of £7 6s 8d in revenue earned, when compared with the corresponding period of last year. This is accounted for by the fact ‘that this year Good Friday was included, when a Sunday service only was run. Details are:—
