BOWLING.
NEW PLYMOUTH V. WAITARA. Five rinks of New Plymouth bowlers spent a very enjoyable afternoon in, a friendly game at Waitara yesterday, and were most hospitably entertained, the pleasure of the visit being enhanced by the strains or music froim the adjoining sports ground. The game ended in a victory for the visitors by 15 points. Scores are as follow, Waitara skips being mentioned first:— Cole 21 v. Ewing 23. Fraser 30 v. S. Rundle 32. Sampson 15 v. Valentine 27. Huse 27 v. Griffin 21. Telfar 30 v. Drake 25. At the conclusion of play Mr. Fraser handed over the Gilmour Cup, which was won by New Plymouth A, and hearty fl’.eers were exchanged, the ladies not being forgotten.
