TANGITU— PEHU. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The settlers were very highly honored recently to receive a visit from the county engineer. Jt must be six years at least since he last inspected this part of the county. No doubv, he found a lot of changes—mostly for the worst, certainly none for the better. The popu ar -Saturday night dances at Uruti have again commenced fcr the season, an 1 will no doubt continue r’gtet through the winter. These dances prove a great source of amusement right through the winter for the young people and the committee, especially Mr Fred Aubrey, are to be congratulated upon the manner in which the functions are conducted. The Tangitu-'—Matau Sports Club hold their annual sports on Easter Monday. Visitors are assured of a good day’s sport, as record entries have been received.
