ENTERTAINMENTS.
ANNETTE KELLERMAN CO. At the Empire Theatre, New Plymouth, last night the Annette Kellerman Co. concluded a very successful three-night season. The vaudeville entertainment was full of variety, amusing itema by Stuart Barnes, vocal numbers, and dancing exhibitions making up a pleasant combination. Miss Annette Kellerman figured in a number of items, but the outstanding one was her display in the swimming tank. At the conclusion of Miss Kellerman’s display a film taken on the slow motion principle, was screened depicting Mias Kellerman in a number of interesting diving exhibitions. The programme wound up with the moving picture of the Cook-Carpentier boxing contest. The portrayal of the ring surroundinga and the actual combat was- & realistic one, and the audience were taken through the various atsegea of the battle between the clever Frenchman and Australia's leading boxer, till the finale, when victory came to the European champion.
