EVEREST ADVENTURE.
PROGRESS OF THE CLIMBERS. INFLUENCE OF THE WEATHER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received April 12, 5.5 p.m. Delhi, April 11. The main body of the Everest Expedition reached Yatung on April 4. They traversed the Cbumbi Valley, where they discovered extraordinary richness of forest and mountain scenery. The •route was very difficult. They expect in two days to reach Pharidnong, whither the whole outfit was dispatched from England, and the grain stores located. A correspondent adds: “Remembering that the monsoonal weather affects this part of the Himilayas the earliest, there ie no time to lose. Probably no more than six weeks will be available .from the time the base camp is established at the foot of Everest till the weather conditions prevent further eflforts to scale the mountain.” —Time* Service.
