The whole of the gold medals which will be given as prizes for the Highland dancing events at Kawaroa Park on Easter Monday, have been donated by a local gentleman. This is. typical of the general interest and assistance rendered in connection with the big day s function. All the stalls will be well stocked, and purchasers will know that in buying they are still further assisting the funds.’ The committee who will manage the side shows anticipate a busy time. A novelty for the children will be the stone age prize chicken. The chicken is limited to lay 2300 Easter eggs during the -day, and will be a source of delight to each child when an egg is drawn and the prize opened up. The children will be fairly dealt with in the. matter of value for money spent and parents will have no.compaints on this point. A special tent will be erected on the grounds, and marked “Mothers’ Tent.” Country patrons will note that motors can he parked dose to the grounds, and that the outward train is delayed
