THE STRATFORD CLUB. The Easter pairs tournament has produced 13 pairs. Plaj- will start at ten o’clock, competitors to be on the green at 9.30 sharp. Following were tiic draws:— Section A.—Sanderson (s) and Clark (lead) ; Skoglund and Amess; J. S. McDonald and Gaffaney; Robins and Carfryer; Porritt and Finlay; Boyd and Young; McPherson a 1 Martin. Section B.—N. J. King and Brown; Lyons and Old; Jackson and Hunt; Sunart and Grubb; Sangster and Woodhead; Patterson and Robinson. Nominations for the colts’ championship close on the green on Saturday next, April 15, with the secretary. The following New Plymouth rinks will visit Hawera to-morrow (Good Friday) : Arden, Roberts, Roebuck, Honeyfield (s). Bruce, Inder, Doull. Olliver (s). McGahey. Ansley, Mynott, Allen (s). Hodson, Dickson, Potter, Woollett (s). Beatson, Blackball, Hooker, Townsley (s). Hoby, O. Johnson, Putt. Washer (s). Looney, Henderson, Goldwater, StevenMace, Cock, Ewing, Johnson (s). A bowling match will be played on Easter Monday between members of the Elthatn Bowling Club and representatives of the Ladies’ Croquet Club, the bowlers being handicapped by having to play left-handed. The* following members of the croquet club have signified their intention of taking part in the match: Mesdames Canman. Fountaine, Campbell, Ross, Hawken, McKay, Tiplady, Judd, Stewart, Astbury, Flavall,. Harrison, and Chrystal.
