At’ Stratford on the 4th inst. there was a good yarding of both sheep and cattle, and we report a very much improved sale. This applied to both sections. Lambs 4s, 7s, 8s fid, m.s. 2tooths 16s, fat and forward wethers 18s, 18s 7d, fresh full mouth ewes 9s, 12s 6d, 14s 7d, store cows 21s, 245, 325, fat do. £3, 2y 2 -year steers £2, 3%-year-old do. £3 3s fid, weaner heifers 20s, 255, better quality do. 365, £2 2s, Jersey do. £2 15s, £3 19s. choice do. £4 7s, springing heifers £ll 15s. \ At Inglewood on the sth we had a moderate yarding and satisfactory clearance at good rates. It was an exceptionally bright sale for mixed weaner heifers. Mixed sex 2-tooths 16s Sd, fat ewes 16s, mixed aged breeding ewes 12s, 14s, store cows 18s, 245, 295, weaner steers Bs, 13s, 18-month do. 365, weaner heifers 20s, 265, quality Holstein do. 38s 6d, 40s, Jersey do. £3, £3 ss, £3 17s 6d, empty 18-month heifers £2 13s. At Rahotu on April 6, inquiry was sufficiently strong to result in an almost complete clearance being effected.
