FORESTRY SCHOOLS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, April 10. In connection with the attempt by the Canterbury College authorities to arrange for a special school for Government forest-rangers, it is now stated that the Govenment cannot see its way dear to support the proposed school at the present time, entailing as it would the absence of the rangers from their work in the middle of winter, and the payment by the Government of travelling and other expenses.
