FRENCH SOLDIERS KILLED. SEARCHING FOR ARMS. IN UPPER SILESIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Received April 11, 12.5 a.m. Paris, April 10. Twenty-three French soldiers were killed and ten wounded by a violent explosion near Gleiwitz, in Upper Silesia, during a search for concealed arms. A large quantity of rifles, quick-firers, and ammunition was found. The explosion was caused by a mechanical device previously placed in position.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
