LOCAL BODY LOANS.
NO GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, April 8. Replying to a deputation from Power Boards who wanted Government assistance in raising loans, Mr. Massey definitely stated that the Government would not guarantee any more local Idans. Lon. don brokers had told him it would ruin the credit of the Dominion and make the Government pay a higher rate of interest.
