Patterson and Anderson are unable to represent Australia in the Davis Cup contests, owing to business or domestic reasons. Patterson, who was married on Monday, States that it is impossible selfishly to undertake a tour abroad which, for financial reasons, he would have to undertake without his wife. The Australian Lawn Tennis Association will discuss the position to-night.
