ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A YOUTH SHOT, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Lennox Clarke, aged 18 years, an apprentice, residing at Nelson Street, Petone, was accidentally fatally shot by a comrade, Douglas Reid, of ?etone, while on a camping expedition five miles past Riddiford’s station at Orongorongo this afternoon. Reid was about to fire when Clarke unexpectedly stepped from behind cover and received the gunshot. He succumbed almost immediatelyKILLED BY A TRAIN. Hamilton, April 4. William Stubbs, the laborer who was run into by a train on Saturday night, has died in hospital.
WOMAN’S SUDDEN DEATH. Dunedin, April 4. Bertha May Farm, aged 28, the widow of a returned soldier, suddenly collapsed. The inquest revealed that death was due to coma following cerebral hemorrhage.
