LADIES’ 300 YARDS RECORD. MISS HOEFT’S LATEST EFFORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Miss Pauline Hoeft swam, unpaced, 390 yards in 4min 10 3-ssec, beating the existing world’s record, held by Miss H. James, at Manchester, by 9 2-ssec. Miss Blelbtrey swam the distance at Sydney in 4min 7sec, but tills has not yet been officially recognised.
