The Daily Express’ Brindisi correspondent states it is rumored that Bevan has been discovered at Athens, where the extradition law is not applicable, but the Greek Government may deport him. Gerard L. Bevan was senior partner of one of the oldest stockbroking firms (Ellis and Co.) which failed as the result of the liquidation of the Equitable Fire Insurance Company. The liabilities were estimated at about two million sterling.
