LAWN TENNIS.
INTER-CLUB COMPETITIONS. A tie has resulted between the Inglewood and Stratford clubs, each having won five matches in the north section of tiie B graae. The play-off for the' section will take place on Thursday next, at Inglewood. A similar tie resulted in the south section between Hawera and King Edward Park (Hawera), and in the play-off the Hawera Club were successful. The winners of the Inglewood-Stratford match will therefore meet Hawera to decide the winners of the B grade, and tills match will be played in the week after next, either on Wednesday or Saturday. PROVINCIAL MATCH. The annual match Taranaki v. Auckland is to be played at Auckland on Saturday next, the Bth Inst. The majority nf, the Taranaki team will proceed to Auckland on Tuesday next, "in order to obtain some practice on the Auckland courts.
