KAWAROA PARK DAY.

BETTER THAN EVER. There are doubtless hundreds of our country readers who have at various times of the year, when taking “a run into town”, made their way to Kawaroa Park, the town’s seaside pleasure resort. The charm of the sea calls to all, and at this vantage spot the charm is accentuated by the beautiful surroundings of the park. Children delight to be included in the trip, and the pleasure they make on the free facilities offered for their enjoyment adds to the charm. Glides, rock-a-bye, see-saws, swing-boats, a miniature roundabout and swings for all ages of childhood are there for town and country children alike. This park, with its attractions for the people’s pleasure, has been brought to its present state by a voluntary committee, who rely on the patronage of the public to various functions held to secure funds for the carrying on of improvements. The chief of these functions is held on Easter Monday, which day locally is known as “Kawaroa Park Day”. On this day a monster picnic and fete is held. There will be attractions for all, full particulars of which will be advertised later. Under the many shelter trees there is space for all picnic parties, to whom hot water and milk is given free. Country residents are asked to attend Kawaroa Park on Easter Monday and thereby assist the committee to continue the work which has made the park, not only a beauty spot of the town, but a children’s pleasure para-
