WOOL SALE CONTRACTS.
FARMERS’ UNION AND HOME GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, March 2t>. Speaking to-day of the friendly suit which the Farmers’ Union suggested should be brought against the Imperial Government to clear up any points in dispute concerning wool sale contracts, the Prime Minister said that such a suit was a matter for the farmers themselves to consider. The New Zealand Government would not take part in any proceedings of this nature. The Government had done its best for the farmers since the inception of the wool contracts, and documents which had been prepared would put the Farmers’ Union in possession of full information as to negotiations and arrange ments.
