At the wool sales there was an average selection and strong general competition. Merinoes made full late rates, crossbreds being very strong at five to ten per cent, above opening rates. The Bradford market is very firm,' but the business is very small. Quotations are unchanged. LONDON MARKETS. Received March 24, 10.30 p.m. London, March 23. Wheat.—Cargoes are steadily held in view of better American adviceS, but the millers demand is poor: Bellfield sold at 57/-, Geisha 59/6 yesterday for South Russia. Spot business as ’very slow. Australian due is quoted at 60/ex Ship. Flour.—Market is dull, Australian ex store 47/- to 48/-. Oats and beans are steady, and prices unchanged. Peas are firm, Tasmanian Blues 460/- to 520/-. Sugar.—Granulated 49/61 CANTERBURY RAM FAIR Christchurch, Last Night. The Canterbury ram fair concluded to-day, when etude were offered. The sale was disappointing, the bulk of lots being passed. Long wools were almost entirely neglected, Downs and Corriedales being the only breeds meeting with free competition. Top prices, which were only for a few special entries, were: Romneys 7gns., English Leicesters 23gns., Border Leicesters 21 gns., Southdowns 23gns., Shropshire 15 gns., and Corriedale lOlgns, AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET.
