HOME RULE FOR SCOTLAND.
MOVEMENT INITIATED. By Telegraph.—Tress Assn.—Copyright. Received March 24, 8.40 p.m. London, March 23. Mr. Andrew Fisher, speaking at a Scottish home rule meeting in Glasgow, said Scottish interests were not served by the Imperial Parliament. Scotland’s entry into the union did not mean she would be content to live for ever under her predominant partner. The meeting passed a resolution that Irish homft rule necessitated Scottish home rule immediately. Messrs. Duncan, Graham and Neil Mac Lean, members of the House of CommoAi, supported the resolution. Mr. Robert Munro, secretary for Scotland, wrote stating that while sincerely sympathising with Scottish home rule, he thought it inappropriate that a member of the Government should participate in the meeting.— Aus.-N.Z.
