IRRIGATION WORKS. By Telegraph.—Press Association Dunedin, March 22. The Minister of Public Works, at Alexandra, turned on the water in the Manuherikia irrigation rMce. Mr. Coates stated that the Otago Central irrigation had cost £163,000 to date, and the total cost would he over £lBO,OOO. The scheme would irrigate 11,000 acres of land.
