ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
KILLED BY A TRAMCAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland March 21. A man about 40 years, named John Gladwin Vercoe, a farmer, of Putaruru, was struck by a tramear in Queen Street and died in hospital four hours later. Deceased had only one eye and was crossing the street when apparently he stepped right in front of the tramcar.
