BRITISH POLITICS.

ANDREW FISHER’S REJECTION, THE REASON EXPLAINED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 21, 7.45 pan. London, March 21. The Scottish Labor newspaper Forward explains the circumstances under which Mr. Andrew Fisher’s candidature was rejected by the Labor Party at Kilmarnock. . Mr. Fisher declared himself a Socialist, and amazed the delegates by the answers which he gave to the questions. He was asked if £500,000 was paid to members of the Royal Family, would it not be better if it were expended on the relief of the unemployed. He replied that the Royalties were worth every penny they got. Replying to other questions, he disagreed with the advocates of disarmament, and thought there was a case for strengthening the Navy. He disapproved of the nationalisation of mines.
