HARD TIMES IN ONE LOCALITY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, March 20. Soldier settlers' on the Glengarry block are experiencing a hard time in carrying on and a meeting was held on Saturday to consider the prospects of the men. It was decided unanimously to inVite the Minister of Lands to visit the district with a view to meeting the soldier settlers and inspecting the Glengarry block, the Minister to be requested to introduce legislation amending the Discharged Soldier Settlement Act in order to provide for the immediate revaluation and adjustment in capital value and rent in cases where this is shown to be urgently necessary.
