ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above association was held in the Soldiers’ Club last night, Miss Douglas presiding. Apologies were received from several old girls who were unable to be entAfter the formal business had been transacted a discussion ensued as to what form the association’s activities should take during the coming year. It was decided that Miss Douglas and Miss Andrews, representing the association, should try to arrange a conference with the principal of the Girls’ School, and with members of the Board of Governors, to secure their advice in cohnection with future movements. Votes of thanks were accorded to the Press, the High School staff and pupils, and the present girls’ mothers for help given last year. The election of officers for 1922 resulted as follows:—President, Miss Douglas; vice-presidents, the principal and staff of the Girls* High School and Miss Drew; committee, Mrs. F. E. Wilson, Mrs. T. Shaw, Mrs. Wilkes, Misses Kirton, Allen. Gibson, Evans. Heal, Earnett and Wood; secretary, Miss E. Andrews.
At a subsequent committee meeting it .-was decided to meet on the first Wednesday of alternate months, the first meeting to be held on Wednesday, April 5. A small executive, consisting of the president, secretary, and Misses Kirton and Allen, was set up to deal with routine business.
The committee decided to hold a mart on the last Saturday in April, further details to be arranged later.
