The board had a meeting with representatives of the shipping companies yesterday, and discussed the possibility of an early reduction in certain rates of freight; also the methods by which the shipping companies in securing improved methods can lower costs in loading produce in New Zealand.

Mr. W. D. Hunt was present at the meeting of the board yesterday. The board has secured peinianent offices now.
