ARMY REORGANISATION.
ACTION BY JAPAN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, March 15. The Tok io correspondent of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Japanese Army Reorganisation Bill, drafted by the War Office and endorsed by military authorities yesterday, will be submitted at a special session of the Diet in July. The’ Bill provides that the present standing army of 298,000 be reduced in various departments, the infantry by 34,000, cavalry by 2300, field artillery J7OO, sappers 1700, heavy artillery 600. The actual reduction, however, will be 51,800, as the following increases are planned: Light artillery 3300, railway engineers 300, aviation 260, mounted artillery 280.
