SOUTHERN MARKETS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Oats are coming in very sparingly,, but in sufficient quantities to meet enquiries. Reports are to hand from all quarters that oat stacks are plentiful with few signs of the mill or chaffcutter being pulled in. Farmers are evidently satisfied with the prices ruling and to wait for something to turn up. Stack, threshed wheat is now coming ir. freely and the sample is much improved. The effect is that the discarding of stook threshed wheat is likely to become heavier. Brisk business tinues in fowl wheat at from 4/7 to 4/9 a bushel. Potatoes are in keen demand for prompt delivery, and for immediate shipment are worth from £4 15s to £5 a ton at country stations for April delivery. The quotation is up to £3 15s.
