FELL FOUR THOUSAND FEET. FAILURE OF PARACHUTE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 15, 1.15 a.m. London, March 14. In the presence of thirty thousand people at Turin, the Dutch aviator Harris Larsen was dashed to pieces through falling from an aeroplane at a height of four thousand feet. Larsen was trying a new parachute, which failed to open. The crowd made an agonised demonstration, but was field back by mounted Royal Guards. — United Service.
