TEAM fOB NEW SOUTH WALES. THE FLAYEBS SELECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tlie lawn tennis team to represent New Zealand at the New South Wales championships in Sydney on April 28 and subsequent dates has been selected. The team is to consist of four ladies and six men, but in case certain players are unable to make the trip the selectors have chosen two additional ladles and one extra man. The players selected are:— Ladies.—Misses Nancy Curtis (Wellington), Marjorie McFarlane (Auckland), M. Payton (Auckland), Zeta Wellwood (Hawke’s Bay), Mesdames C. J. Marshall (Auckland), N. P. Green (Hawke’s Bay). Men.—Dr. J. T. Laurenson (Waikato), Messrs. G. Ollivler (Canterbury), J. C. Peacock (Wellington), A. W Sims (Waikato), E. L Bartleet (Auckland), R. N. K. Swanston (Wellington). Emergency: Mr. P. G. Greenwood (Canterbury). Hawera. played a match against Waverley at Ha.wera on Saturday, winning by 196 games to 148. A match was played on the Manaia green on Saturday between Hawera and Manaia Clubs, and resulted in a win for Manaia by 15 sets to 9.
