SWIMMING.

NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB The first event for the Dalgleish gold medal was decided at. the New Plymouth baths last night. Seven competed, the distance being 220 yards. A good race resulted in Taylor finishing first, with a little to spare from Morrison. Result: K. Taylor 1, R. Morrison 2. N. McHardy 3. Time, 3min. 15sec. Two other events for junior members of the club resulted:— 33 1-3 yards (open).—H. Hawkins 1, M. Scrimgeour 2. Thine, 26sec. Youths' Diving.—H. Hawkins 1. The second event (100 yards’) for tht Dalgleish gold medal will be competed for at the baths next Tuesday night.
