OUTPUT OF METALS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 13, 9.50 p.m. Sydney, March 13. The output of metals from New South Wales for the past year was valued at £14,018,648, an increase of £2,607,186 compared with the previous year. The coal output totalled 10,783,387 tons, a record, being an increase of 7388 tons. CLAIM AGAINST GOVERNMENT. Received March 13, 9.50 p.m. Melbourne, March 13. In the High Court the Chief Justice delivered reserved judgment in the claim of several fellmongers against the Commonwealth Government. He found that there was no contract between the parties, and there had been no compulsory acquisition of skins and wool by the Commonwealth Court. He granted the plaintiff firms six months in which to amend their particulars'of claim. The question of costs was reserved, but in the event of no further application costs to go to the Commonwealth.
