VISIT TO TARANAKL J TWO FUNCTIONS TO-DAY. The Hon. C. J. Parr, Minister in cliarge of the portfolios of Public Health and Education, is to arrive in New Plymouth this morning by the Rarawa from Auckland and during the day will participate "in two functions. The Minister, who will be accompanied by Mrs. Parr, will be met at the boat -by the chairman of the Taranaki Hospital Board anu the party are to motor to the North Taranaki Mountain Hostelry, where they will have breakfast. On returning to New Plymouth the Minister will open the new nurses’ home, the function being timed for eleven o’clock. Later a deputation

from the New Plymouth High Schools Board is to wait on the Minister, and after lunch Mr. Parr motors to Stratford to participate in the official open, ing ceremony of the new Technical High School. The Minister leaves Stratford on Wednesday for Palmerston Nortiu
