SHOOTING.
HAWERA GUN CLUB. Another successful shoot goes down on the records of the Hawera Gun Club. On Wednesday last the members were favored with excellent shooting weather, and all the events were keenly contested. The detailed results are:— No. 1 sweep, quail drives (six birds).—H. Harrison (5 birds) 1, W. O’Brien (4) 2. No. 2, six-bird sweep.—H. Harrison, 17yds. (6 birds), 1; F. Casey, 14yds. (5), 2. No. 3, six-bird sweep.—W< O’Brien, 14yds. (6) and H. Harrison 18yds. (6) divided the sweep. No. 4, Cup shoot, nine birds.—H. Harrison, 18yds. (9) 1, F. Casey 15yds. (8) 2. No. 5, quail drive (six birds). —W. O’Brien (4), H. Harrison (4). O'BriM won the shoot off. No. 6, nine-bird sweep.—W. O'Brien 14yds. (9), 1; H. Harrison 18yds. (8), P. .\ Lundberg 12yds (8), F. Caseye 15yds. (8). H. Harrison won the shoot off for second place.
